Principal's Welcome

As Principal of Faith Lutheran College, I am privileged to be part of a vibrant and dynamic learning community that places our students first in their learning journey. At Faith, we emphasise design thinking and project-based learning to awaken potential and empower learners for purposeful lives through Christ. By doing so, we are challenging the traditional, industrial model of education to ensure our students achieve the best possible outcomes that equip them for the future.

We believe that it’s not our role as educators to simply impart knowledge and skills to our students – we must provide a vibrant and authentic education that prepares our young people to boldly and confidently shape our world.

This approach to education represents a fundamental shift in the way we think about teaching and learning.

It requires us to move away from a model that sees education as a one-size-fits-all approach to one that values individuality and promotes innovation and critical thinking.

To achieve this, we create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to take risks, ask questions and challenge themselves.

We are committed to empowering our students to take ownership of their learning, and encourage them to speak up and share their ideas and perspectives.

As a parent myself, I understand that making choices about the future of your child’s education can be daunting.

If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be this: Choosing a school is not just about finding the right pathway – choosing a school is about finding a community that helps your child flourish in every way.

This means finding an environment that has the people, facilities and opportunities to help your child understand both who they are as a person and their place in the world.

I can confidently say that when you enrol your child at Faith Lutheran College, helping them to flourish becomes both our mission and our passion.

I invite you to experience the positive and supportive atmosphere at our College and to join a community that values the journey of each individual student as they grow toward their future.
