May 2025 be a year where we continue to awaken potential and empower lives through Christ.
Yours in Christ,

College Principal

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
The College has been busy making plans for the year ahead. No doubt, you have been busy making plans for you and your family, too. There is always so much to organise as a new school year commences – school uniforms, school supplies, reading school communications (like this one!), paying school fees etc. The College truly thanks you for your partnership in the education of your child or children.
The verse above reminds us of another reality we so easily forget and that is that God has been making plans, too. We might imagine in the busyness of our planning that our plans are the only ones that count. Our plans are useful – but God has plans, too. His plans are vastly superior to ours, are centered on His love for humankind and will always succeed. I wish that I could make plans as good as God’s plans, but I will gladly settle for being part of His.
The most obvious part of God’s plan was that he sent His son, Jesus, into the world not to condemn humankind as sometimes people imagine, but to save the world from sin. This is something that we can live in every day because nobody is perfect, and we all need forgiveness from each other and from our heavenly Father.
May you enjoy being part of God’s plans.

College Pastor

Welcome to 2025!
As we begin a new year, I reflect on the many blessings that have shaped our College community and feel a deep sense of gratitude for the year ahead. In my role as Director of Teaching and Learning, I am committed to nurturing a learning environment that reflects our Lutheran values of love, service, and care for one another.
A Focus on Literacy
This year, we continue to focus on literacy as an essential part of learning and growth. Literacy is about much more than reading and writing—it helps students understand and engage with the world. By supporting literacy across all areas of the College, we aim to build skills that will serve our students for life.
Building on Strong Foundations
Our Exploration Phase courses, which were first introduced last year, are thriving. These courses allow students to engage with learning that inspires and challenges them, preparing them for their future pathways. We look forward to seeing how students continue to grow as they explore their unique gifts and interests.
Celebrating Success
Academic success is an important part of life at Faith, and 2024 was no exception. I am proud to share that we maintained our 100% QCE pass rate, with many students achieving excellent results in external exams. These achievements reflect the dedication of our students and the support of their families and teachers.
A Lutheran Lens for Learning
As a Lutheran College, we believe that education is about more than academic results. It is about helping each student recognise their God-given potential and find purpose in serving others. This year, we remain committed to providing an education that nurtures the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Starting the Year Well
As we begin 2025, I encourage students to make the most of each day. Attend consistently, be prepared for class, and set aside time to review what you’ve learned. These small habits build a strong foundation for learning and growth.
Together, let us make this a year of learning, service, and community. I look forward to walking alongside you as we embrace the opportunities of 2025 with faith and hope.
Jen Gibb
Director of Teaching and Learning

A Positive Start to the School Year
As we step into 2025, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on the possibilities a new school year holds. A successful year for our students begins with establishing positive habits and embracing a mindset geared towards learning and growth.
Let’s work together to set the tone for success by focusing on engagement, responsibility, and collaboration within our College community.
Building Strong Foundations
Success at school starts with having the right mindset. Students who approach each day with curiosity and a willingness to learn are better equipped to tackle challenges and make the most of opportunities. A strong foundation for learning includes:
Active participation: Engaging in class discussions, asking questions, and contributing to group activities fosters a deeper understanding of content and builds confidence.
Preparation: Bringing necessary materials, including charged laptops, textbooks, and notebooks, ensures readiness for a productive school day.
Goal setting: Identifying clear, achievable goals provides direction and motivation. Goals help students stay focused on improving skills and pursuing aspirations.
The Power of Regular Attendance
Consistent attendance is vital for academic success. Being present in class not only enhances understanding but also strengthens connections with peers and teachers. Each day at school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build relationships. If challenges arise, such as illness or personal difficulties, we encourage families to communicate with the Heads of Wellbeing to ensure students receive the support they need.
Effective Communication
Staying informed is a shared responsibility. Students can take ownership of their learning by:
- Checking emails daily and reading notices.
- Setting reminders for assessments and upcoming events.
- Collaborating with teachers and peers to stay on track.
Parents play a crucial role too. By engaging with the College’s communication channels, such as emails, NewsBites, Phase newsletters, the Faith app, and social media, families can stay updated and connected to the school community.
A Community of Support
Education is a collective effort that thrives on collaboration between students, families, and staff. By working together, we create an environment where every student is supported to achieve their best. We encourage open communication and active participation in the many opportunities our College offers, from co-curricular activities to community events.
As we embark on this journey together, let us strive to make 2025 a year of growth, connection, and success for all members of our College community.
Best wishes for a rewarding and inspiring year ahead!
James Hallas
Acting Director of Communities and Culture

2026 Enrolments
Each year, enrolments for Year 7 in the following year are filling faster than the previous year. We already have enough applications to fill 80% of the Year 7, 2026 cohort and anticipate that we will commence a wait pool sometime in Term 1.
We urge any existing families who have a child in Year 6 this year and have not yet submitted an application to do so as a matter of urgency.
We are unable to hold a place for a future student if we have not received an application form for them.
To submit an application for enrolment, please click here.
Faith Primary School: Applications Open!
Applications are open for Faith's Primary School that is opening for Years 5 and 6 students in 2027. If you have children who will be in Years 3 and 4 this year, we encourage you to submit an application for them to be the founding students in Faith's Primary School.
