College Thursday, 23 May 2024

Faith Lutheran College Plainland has been recognised as an excellence awardee for two prestigious awards in the Australian Education Awards 2024!

The College has been recognised as a finalist in the Innovation in Curriculum Design category.

We’re incredibly proud of this recognition as we’re committed to challenging the traditional school model so we can awaken potential and empower our learners for purposeful lives through Christ.

Thank you to all our dedicated and innovative educators who have worked tirelessly to build an exciting and meaningful curriculum that empowers our students in their learning.

Congratulations also goes to Exploration Phase Head of Learning Jabez Castray who has been selected as a finalist for the Education Rising Star of the Year award.

Mr Castray stands out as a deserving recipient due to his innovative educational initiatives and leadership at Faith. He has significantly enhanced the learning experience through the Exploration Phase and cross-curricular units, improving student engagement and academic outcomes.

His leadership in curriculum quality assurance, development of Humanities programs and the Reconciliation Action Plan illustrates his commitment to inclusive and contemporary education.

Mr Castray's mentorship and professional development efforts further exemplify his dedication to educational excellence.

We’re grateful for this recognition of the work we’re doing at Faith and look forward to hearing the results when they are announced on Saturday 9 August!
