Official Opening of Student Services & Administration Building
Faith Lutheran College Plainland marked another major milestone in its 25-year history when the official opening the College’s new Student Services and Administration Building on Wednesday 22 October.
Replacing the original structure built at the Plainland site in 2000, the new facility represents the heart of Faith’s operations — a contemporary, purpose-built space designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing school community.
The new building was officially opened by Hon Jim McDonald, State Member for Lockyer.
Over the past two decades, Faith has grown from a small rural secondary school to one of the Lockyer Valley’s largest independent Colleges.
The original building, which began life as a set of modest classrooms, has served many roles, from library to offices to student services hub.
Acting Principal Mr Tyson Kenny said the new building symbolises Faith’s ongoing evolution.
“This space is much more than bricks and mortar — it’s a sign of the College’s growth and the strength of our community,” Mr Kenny said.
“It brings together the people and services that support our students every day and sets us up for the next 25 years.”
